Marcelo sends heartfelt message to Cristiano Ronaldo in emotional reunion video

“Always with you” – that was the message from Marcelo as the former Real Madrid defender publicly backed his long-time friend and former team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.

Marcelo shared a video showing him embracing the Portugal forward, accompanied by an emoji expressing affection and appreciation. The post quickly attracted widespread attention on social media, with thousands of Ronaldo supporters responding to what they viewed as a tribute to the pair’s hugely successful past together.

The video was also shared by El Chiringuito TV on 2 October 2026 with the caption: “Marcelo supports Cristiano. The Brazilian has shared this video with the Portuguese after what happened with Portugal.”

The latest gesture is not the first time Marcelo has shown his support for Ronaldo. A few days earlier, the Brazilian posted another message concerning the legendary goalscorer, underlining that their relationship extends beyond their years playing together.

Marcelo and Ronaldo formed a memorable partnership during Real Madrid’s most successful era. Their friendship developed in the club’s dressing room during a period of sustained achievement, while they also combined on the left side of the team to help drive the club towards a golden generation.

Together, they were part of a Real Madrid side that won every available honour and became one of the most successful groups in the club’s history. Their years at the Santiago Bernabeu created lasting memories for supporters and established a bond that has continued since both players moved on from the Spanish club.

Marcelo’s latest message comes as tributes and messages of support for Ronaldo continue to arrive from former team-mates, current stars and fans around the world. The Brazilian has once again placed himself alongside his friend, recalling the close relationship they shared during their years in Madrid.
