Marat Tarek linked with Bengaluru U. move after strong Samaleswari SC start

Marat Tarek, the Russia-Cameroon centre-forward currently with Samaleswari SC, has been linked with a move to Bengaluru U. in the Indian Football League.

The 23-year-old joined Samaleswari SC on 18 July 2026 after leaving Kolkheti Poti on a free transfer. He has made three appearances for his current club in the Durand Cup 26/27, scoring twice, with an average of one goal every 99 minutes.

Tarek has started 67% of those matches and played 73% of the available minutes. His goals account for a 29% goal participation rate in the competition.

The forward was born in Vladivostok on 6 August 2003 and stands 1.94m tall. He is listed as right-footed and operates primarily through the centre of the attack.

A move to Bengaluru U. would be another change of club in a career that has included spells with teams in several countries and competitions. Before joining Samaleswari SC, Tarek had moved to Kolkheti Poti from PWD SC earlier in July, with both transfers recorded as free moves.

There is no confirmation that an agreement has been reached between Samaleswari SC and Bengaluru U., and the link remains a rumour. Tarek remains a Samaleswari SC player, with no contract expiry date listed.
