In addition to his football activities, Maradona expressed a desire to meet Pope Francis I, who shares Argentinian nationality with him. Maradona reportedly stated that he hopes to have an audience with the Pope when he visits Italy. The connection between the two goes beyond nationality, as both are linked by the phrase “the hand of God.”
