Manu Kone would leave Roma only for PSG
Manu Kone is reportedly prepared to stay at AS Roma despite growing interest from Manchester United, with Paris Saint-Germain the only club that could persuade him to leave the Italian capital this summer.
The France international is said to feel a special connection to PSG, although the French champions have not yet made an approach.
Roma value the 24-year-old midfielder at around €50 million after an impressive season and a strong World Cup campaign. Manchester United are understood to be ready to invest heavily, but their interest alone is unlikely to change Kone’s position.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the former Borussia Monchengladbach player would be happy to continue with Roma. A move to PSG, however, would be viewed differently, with the report suggesting the midfielder dreams of representing the Champions League holders.
PSG have yet to begin talks or submit a proposal, leaving a Roma contract extension as the most likely immediate outcome. Kone currently earns approximately €2.8 million net per season, and discussions over improved terms are reportedly underway.
Roma’s busy transfer window could still alter the situation. The club are close to completing a €35 million deal for Lyon winger Malick Fofana, while possible departures may shape their plans. For now, Koné’s choice is clear: remain with Roma or wait for PSG.
