Manssour Fofana: Ivorian winger linked with Pyrgos move from free agency

Manssour Fofana, the Ivorian left winger currently without a club after leaving KF Teuta, is being linked with a move to Greek side Pyrgos in Super League 2. The 24-year-old is understood to be under consideration as Pyrgos explore wide attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

Fofana became a free agent on 1 July after his stint with Albanian top-flight club Teuta, opening the door for a potential return to Greek football. Pyrgos, who compete in the second tier, are believed to see value in a deal for the winger, whose current market valuation stands at around 100,000.

The Abobo-born forward has built much of his career in Greece, featuring extensively in Super League 2, where he has made 64 appearances with eight goals and four assists. That run included spells at Veria, PAS Giannina, Tilykratis and Egaleo, giving him a detailed familiarity with the division Pyrgos are aiming to strengthen in.

Fofana also briefly featured in the Greek Super League, scoring once in five top-flight appearances, and has experience in domestic cup competitions in both Greece and Albania. Earlier in his career he spent time in Italys Serie D with Cannara, before moving east and seeing his estimated value rise to a peak of 350,000.

With no contract currently tying him down, any move to Pyrgos would be expected to come without a transfer fee, leaving negotiations to focus on personal terms and role within the squad as the winger assesses his next step.
