Mansaray linked with Thai Nguyen FC move after leaving Persipura

Victor Mansaray, the 29-year-old United States and Sierra Leone centre-forward currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Vietnam’s Thai Nguyen FC.

Mansaray became a free agent on 1 July 2026 after leaving Indonesian side Persipura, having joined them from FC Fassell in February. Thai Nguyen FC are now linked with a move for the striker, although there has been no confirmation that an agreement has been reached.

The proposed return to Vietnam would reunite Mansaray with a league in which he has significant experience. He made 75 appearances in V.League 1, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists.

Mansaray’s wider career has also included spells in the United States, Indonesia, Nepal and Sweden. He began his senior career with Seattle and was part of the Sounders side that won the MLS Cup in the 2015-16 season.

The striker’s recorded market value is €50,000. He is listed at 1.85m and prefers his right foot.

Mansaray has moved between clubs several times in recent seasons, including spells with HCMC FC, PSM Makassar, Malut United, Chitwan and FC Fassell. His latest departure leaves him available for a new club, with Thai Nguyen FC the latest team linked with his services.
