Manchester United weigh move for Ismaila Sarr as Crystal Palace demand £50m

Manchester United are monitoring Ismaila Sarr’s uncertain future at Crystal Palace, with Galatasaray currently attempting to complete a deal for the Senegal international.

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are keeping a close watch on developments as the Turkish club tries to persuade the winger to move to Turkey. Galatasaray are understood to have reached a preliminary agreement with Sarr over personal terms, representing a significant step in their pursuit of the player.

However, negotiations with Crystal Palace have yet to produce an agreement, with the English club standing firm over their valuation of the 27-year-old.

Palace are reportedly seeking at least £50m (€58m) before considering Sarr’s departure. Galatasaray had initially hoped an offer in the region of £30m (€35m) would be enough to convince the Premier League club to sell.

That leaves a substantial gap between the two sides, potentially giving Manchester United an opportunity to enter the race for the player.

Manchester United have admired Sarr’s qualities for several weeks. The Senegalese forward can operate on either flank and is also capable of playing through the middle, offering versatility across the attack.

Sarr has previously spoken openly about his affection for Manchester United, a factor that could make an approach from the Old Trafford club particularly appealing. The Red Devils could therefore use the uncertainty surrounding negotiations between Crystal Palace and Galatasaray to consider making their own move.

Sarr is valued at €45m by Transfermarkt and earns an annual salary of €4,348,684, equivalent to 2,826,644,600 CFA francs. He remains under contract with Crystal Palace until 30 June 2029, meaning the Eagles are in a strong negotiating position should interest in the player intensify.

The immediate focus for Crystal Palace is their upcoming Premier League fixture against Manchester City, which will be the club’s second league match of the season.

Betting company 1xBet lists Crystal Palace at odds of 4.90 to win that game, with a draw priced at 4.00 and Manchester City offered at 1.56.
