Manchester United slap huge price tag on Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana ahead of summer window

Manchester United have reportedly placed a hefty €45–50 million price tag on Cameroon goalkeeper André Onana ahead of the summer transfer window.

Onana was farmed out on loan at the beginning of the 2025.26 football campaign, joining Turkish outfit Trabzonspor until the end of the season.

Since joining the club, Onana has established himself as a key member of the Turkish side, making 20 appearances in the league, keeping four clean sheets and conceding 27 goals across the period.

With his loan spell nearing an end, Trabzonspor have expressed interest to capture the former Inter Milan and Ajax shot stopper on a permanent deal.

However, Manchester United have slapped a huge price tag on Onana, prompting hesitation from interested suitors including Trabzonspor.

The Turkish outfit view Onana’s price tag as outrageous. Trabzonspor’s management believes the €45–50 million valuation is too steep and may force them to explore alternative options or negotiate for another loan spell.

The situation leaves Onana’s future uncertain, with the upcoming transfer window likely to determine whether Manchester United can find a buyer willing to meet their valuation or if the goalkeeper will remain at Old Trafford.
