Sir Alex Ferguson played a significant role in the sacking of David Moyes as manager of Manchester United, according to reports. Ferguson, the former manager of the Red Devils, reportedly supported Moyes’ dismissal, despite having handpicked him as his successor.
Reports suggest that Ferguson will be part of the group tasked with finding a new coach for Manchester United. Alongside other club board members, he will have a say in the selection process. Currently, Louis van Gaal, the Netherlands coach, and Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid coach, are considered front-runners for the managerial position at Manchester United for the upcoming season.
In the interim, Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt are overseeing the team’s affairs.
