Even in retirement, Sir Alex Ferguson remains active and celebrated. The legendary former manager of Manchester United was bestowed with a street named in his honor this Monday.
Expressing gratitude, the 71-year-old Scotsman reflected on his journey since accepting the challenge Manchester presented him 26 years ago. Unveiling the street sign, previously known as “Waters Reach,” near Old Trafford, Ferguson humbly remarked, “That part of the stadium bearing my name is a lesson in humility.”
During his tenure with the Red Devils, Ferguson achieved remarkable success, securing 13 English league titles and clinching two Champions League trophies. His impact on Manchester United is now permanently recognized with this street bearing his name.
