Premier League giants Manchester United have intensified their pursuit of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen as they seeks to secure his services.
Osimhen is currently on a season-long loan spell with Turkish giants Galatasaray from Napoli after failed move to Chelsea and Al Hilal last summer.
With a permanent signing proving impossible for Galatasaray, Osimhen is expected to leave the side in the summer and return to parent club Napoli.
Since joining Galatasaray, the Nigerian international has proven to be one of Europe’s best forwards, scoring 19 goals in 24 appearances.
The Red Devils, who are desperate to capture Osimhen sent scouts on Monday to watch him play against Rizespor.
Osimhen did not disappoint after racking up two goals to propel his outfit to victory over Rizespor, ending his two-game drought.
Manchester United have identified Osimhen as a primary transfer target for 2025 and are exploring means to capture his signature in the summer.
Despite significant interest in the 26-year-old, Manchester United will need to match his €240,000 per week wage demands, while his desire to play in the Champions League could also prove to be a huge stumbling block for the Red Devils.
