After 12 remarkable years with Manchester United, Rio Ferdinand has announced his departure from the club. The English defender confirmed the news, reflecting on his time with the team.
“After much reflection, I believe it’s the right time for me to move on. I joined Manchester United with hopes of winning trophies, and the success we achieved exceeded my wildest dreams. I’ve shared incredible moments with great players, won my first Premier League title, and will never forget that unforgettable night in Moscow,” Ferdinand expressed.
Since joining Manchester United from Leeds in 2002, Ferdinand has won a Champions League title, six Premier League titles, and received a FIFA Team of the Year nomination in 2008.
