Manchester United push hard to sign Ayyoub Bouaddi

Manchester United are making an aggressive play to sign Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer, underlining how highly they rate the 18-year-old.

The club have reportedly tried several times to meet the player’s camp, showing a clear determination to win the race for one of Europe’s most sought-after young midfielders.

French journalist Abdellah Boulma reports that United are “going so far as to consider enlisting Sir Alex Ferguson to win him over,” highlighting just how big a priority Bouaddi has become at Old Trafford. The Red Devils view him as a long-term partner for Kobbie Mainoo and a key piece in rebuilding their midfield following Casemiro’s expected departure.

United, however, face serious competition. Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also in the hunt, turning Bouaddi’s future into a potential headline transfer battle of the upcoming window.

Despite signing a new Lille contract running until 2031, the French club are believed to be open to a major sale, with Bouaddi valued at around €50 million. This season, he has featured 27 times in Ligue 1 and 10 times in the Europa League, recording one assist across those games.
