Manchester United not ready to loan English-Ghanaian midfielder Kobbie Mainoo to another club this summer
Manchester United have reportedly rejected Kobbie Mainoo’s request to leave the club on loan this summer.
According to reports, the highly-rated midfielder made it clear to the club that he wants to secure a temporary move away in order to get regular game time. Mainoo, however, does not want to leave Old Trafford on a permanent deal, with his preference being a loan move to aid his development.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have no intention of letting the 19-year-old depart. The club believes Mainoo has an important role to play this season and want him to remain and fight for his place in Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Despite the insistence from the Red Devils, Mainoo continues to push for a loan switch, stressing that consistent minutes on the pitch are crucial for his progress.
The situation has set up a standoff between the player and the club as the summer transfer window edges closer to its conclusion.
Further checks have revealed that the youngster will not force his way out of the club if his wish for a loan move is not granted.
