Romelu Lukaku, signed by Manchester United in 2017 for €84 million, is reportedly set to leave the club as he no longer figures in Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s plans.
The Belgian striker of Congolese origin, who is under contract with United until June 2022, has attracted interest from Inter Milan. The Italian club could benefit from Lukaku’s arrival, especially with Antonio Conte recently taking charge and reportedly not counting on Mauro Icardi in his plans.
Manchester United has reportedly set a price of €70 million for Lukaku, opening the door for Inter to strengthen their attack ahead of the next season. With Icardi’s future uncertain, Lukaku is seen as a potential key figure to lead the Lombardy club’s forward line, providing experience, physicality, and Premier League pedigree.
The transfer would mark a major move for the striker, who has already proven himself in England, including scoring 12 goals in 32 Premier League appearances this season, and would offer Inter a proven goalscorer to spearhead Conte’s attacking ambitions.
