Manchester United join race for Christ Inao Oulai

Manchester United have joined the growing list of clubs interested in Trabzonspor midfielder Christ Inao Oulai after his standout World Cup performances for Ivory Coast.

Italian journalist Niccolo Ceccarini reports that “even Manchester United” have made enquiries for the 20-year-old, who impressed with four appearances at the tournament and his ability to dictate play.

Oulai has quickly risen in stature since joining Trabzonspor from Bastia in August 2025 for a fee of 5.5 million euros, winning 10 caps for his country and contributing two goals and four assists in 25 Super Lig games last season. His transfer value has surged, and in January 2026 Trabzonspor reportedly turned down a 40 million euro offer from Chelsea, underlining how highly they rate him.

Pundits have even compared his line-breaking qualities to those of Andres Iniesta, saying he can “single-handedly change the tempo of a match.” Manchester United, meanwhile, are reshaping their midfield this summer. The Red Devils have already signed two midfielders and are planning to add a third one to their squad.
