Manchester United are interested in signing France-born defender of Malian descent, Dan Sinate.
Sources have revealed that the English Premier League outfit has been keeping tabs on the teenager for a while and wants to recruit him from Angers SCO in the summer of 2026.
Sinate caught the attention of scouts during the Maurice Revello Tournament in June, where he impressed while representing Mali’s U20 side. United’s scouting team was reportedly present at the tournament and have since been monitoring his progress. Interestingly, Sinate’s U20 teammate, Sekou Koné, is already on Manchester United’s books.
Though he only signed his first professional contract with Angers in June, Sinate’s career trajectory has already shown promise. At just 15, he joined the AS Monaco Training Centre, featuring prominently in their U19 squad and the prestigious Coupe Gambardella in back-to-back campaigns (2022–2024).
After a brief stint with Spanish side Deportivo Alavés in 2024, he moved to Angers’ reserve team in January 2025.
Known for his composure and tactical flexibility, Sinate primarily operates as a left-back but is equally comfortable at centre-back or in a holding midfield role.
Manchester United will continue to monitor the player throughout the upcoming season.
