Manchester United’s technical staff have decided to grant Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui an extended rest period following the conclusion of his involvement with the national team at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mazraoui returned to Manchester United this week after the end of the AFCON tournament, which was hosted across stadiums in Morocco and concluded over the weekend.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the club opted to allow the defender additional time off after his continental commitments, acknowledging the physical and mental demands of the tournament.
The same report indicated that Mazraoui is expected to return to training at the Carrington complex before the end of the week.
There is also a possibility that he could be included in Manchester United’s squad for the upcoming Premier League clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium next Sunday, depending on his condition and readiness.
