Manchester United enter race to sign Belgian-Guinea winger Malick Fofana

Premier League giants Manchester United have entered the race to sign Belgium international of Guinean descent Malick Fofana.

The 20-year-old winger, who plies his trade for Olympique Lyon has attracted significant interest due to his outstanding performance.

Despite not being Manchester United’s top target in the transfer market, manager Ruben Amorim said to be keeping a close eye on the attacker.

Fofana’s contract with Lyon runs until 2028, but there is a strong possibility that this season could be his last in Lyon.

Aside Manchester United, fellow Premier League outfit Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona, as well as Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on the winger.

Fofana joined Lyon from Gent in January 2024 for €19.5 million and has already made 12 appearances this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
