Denmark-born forward of Nigerian descent, Chido Obi, will wear a new jersey at Manchester United in the 2025/26 football season.
The young forward, who previously wore the number 56 shirt, will now don the number 32 jersey.
Obi is expected to debut his new number on Saturday, July 19, when United face Leeds United in a pre-season friendly in Stockholm.
The announcement came as part of a broader update on squad numbers ahead of the new campaign.
Among the changes, central defender Fredricson, who impressed with a strong debut last season, moves from number 55 to 33, having featured notably against Wolves and Brentford.
These updates follow other notable shifts in the senior squad: Diogo Dalot has been handed the iconic number 2 shirt, while new signing Matheus Cunha will wear number 10.
Several academy talents have also been assigned new numbers as they prepare to step up in the coming season. Shea Lacey will wear 61, Bendito Mantato takes 70, and Reece Munro has been given 65.
Chido Obi, after playing cameo roles for Manchester United last season, is expected to play a bigger role in the 2025/26 football season.
