Manchester City’s Tijjani Reijnders faces uncertain future amid Premier League interest

Tijjani Reijnders could leave Manchester City only a year after joining the club in a €55m move from AC Milan, with Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United both showing interest in the Netherlands midfielder.

Reijnders started 19 Premier League matches last season and made 28 appearances in total. His displays have attracted attention from other English clubs, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“Nottingham Forest have shown interest in the 28-year-old Dutchman in recent days,” Romano wrote on his official X account.

Newcastle United are also monitoring Reijnders as they consider options for their midfield. Their interest comes amid the possibility of Brazil international Bruno Guimaraes leaving the club to join Arsenal.

No decision has yet been reported on whether Manchester City would be prepared to part with Reijnders after just one season at the Etihad Stadium. The midfielder’s position is now likely to depend on the view of new Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca.

Reijnders arrived from AC Milan last year for a reported fee of €55m, but his future has already become a subject of transfer speculation.
