Manchester City supporters must plan well ahead for Etihad Stadium tickets

Manchester City supporters hoping to watch the club at the Etihad Stadium face a highly competitive ticket market, with official access dependent on club membership and 2025/26 season tickets already unavailable.

The club offers two Cityzens membership options, and supporters must be members if they want to buy an official ticket through Manchester City for a match at the Etihad Stadium.

Season tickets are not available to the general public. Fans must first hold either Cityzens Matchday or Cityzens Junior membership to be eligible to buy one. However, all 2025/26 season tickets have currently sold out.

Only a limited number of Flexi Season Tickets have been offered to eligible members. Allocation has been based on supporters’ match-attendance history and purchasing activity.

The renewal period for existing season-ticket holders has now closed. New season tickets are not expected to become widely available until at least the 2026/27 season. That timing is linked to the anticipated completion of the Etihad Stadium expansion, which is expected to create more seats.

Supporters who want to improve their chances of obtaining a season ticket in the future are advised to buy Cityzens Matchday membership through the official club website and attend as many home matches as possible. Priority is determined by loyalty and attendance percentage.

Demand for Manchester City matches means Premier League tickets can be difficult to secure, although they are generally not as hard to obtain as tickets for some of the club’s rivals.

Many fans therefore look to secondary ticketing websites, including StubHub. However, purchasing through such platforms is not always guaranteed. The most reliable approach is to hold a club membership and monitor the official availability of tickets for individual matches.

Availability may be better for fixtures against lower-ranked Premier League sides. Matches involving those teams are generally easier to attend than some of Manchester City’s more sought-after games.

Supporters looking for the cheapest official option should use the club’s website and search for seats in the more affordable sections of the Etihad Stadium.

Secondary resale websites such as StubHub and Ticombo may also have lower-priced tickets close to matchday. Prices on those platforms tend to fall as the fixture approaches, although availability is not assured.

Fans can also book a tour of the Etihad Stadium. A number of websites offer deals and discounts for stadium-tour visits.

RedLetterDays is currently advertising tours from £28 for one adult. Family packages covering two adults and two children are available for up to £72.
