Premier League giants Manchester City have rekindled their interest in Franco-Algerian winger Maghnes Akliouche in the current transfer window.
The 23-year-old has become a subject of interest for several clubs in the current transfer window, with Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and Manchester City expressing interest in the attacker following his outstanding performance last season.
Akliouche was tipped to depart formative club AS Monaco at the beginning of the transfer window. However, the French giants demands saw interest cool down, with elite clubs deterred by the €70m price tag.
With the return of Ligue 1 football nearing, interest in the France youth international is growing once more.
While Leverkusen intends to sign the winger, it remains unknown whether Inter Milan would make a move, having previously express interest.
However, Manchester City, who have been linked with a move for Akliouche in the past, may reignite their interest. He is an alternative to Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, who would be a much more expensive option.
His current contract with AS Monaco is expected to elapse in summer 2028.
