Jeremy Doku to extend Manchester City contract

Manchester City have reportedly reached an agreement with winger Jérémy Doku over a new long-term contract, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.

The pacey winger, who is currently on national team duty with Belgium has already settled key terms with the Premier League giants and is expected to sign a new five-year contract with an improved salary package.

The 24-year-old Belgian international, who joined Manchester City to strengthen their attacking depth on the flanks, is now expected to remain a central part of Pep Guardiola’s long-term plans as the club continues to refresh its squad for the future.

Doku’s renewal is seen as a major priority for City following an impressive season in which he made 47 appearances across all competitions, contributing 8 goals and 14 assists. His direct style, pace, and dribbling ability have made him a constant threat in one-on-one situations, particularly in breaking down low defensive blocks.

Since arriving in England, the winger has steadily grown into a key attacking option, offering unpredictability and width in City’s system. Club officials reportedly view him as one of the most important young attacking assets in the squad.

His current market value is estimated at around €75 million, according to Transfermarkt, reflecting his rising influence at both club and international level. His previous contract was due to run until 2028, but the new agreement is expected to extend that commitment by several additional years, securing his long-term future at the Etihad Stadium.

The extension also underlines Manchester City’s strategy of locking down key young players as they aim to maintain dominance in both the Premier League and European competitions.

An official confirmation from the club is expected soon, with the deal now considered fully agreed in principle and only awaiting formal signing and announcement.
