Manchester City monitoring Algerian youngster Ibrahim Maza
Manchester City are reportedly keeping close tabs on the rapid development of Algerian youngster Ibrahim Maza, Africasoccer can report.
Maza, who joined Bayer Leverkusen from Hertha BSC last summer, has quickly established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the Bundesliga this season.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with several top European clubs believed to be tracking his progress.
While there has been no official contact between Manchester City and Leverkusen so far, the Premier League champions are said to be closely monitoring the situation as they continue to scout emerging talent across Europe.
Leverkusen, however, are reportedly determined to keep hold of the 20-year-old, who remains under contract until the summer of 2030, strengthening their position in any potential negotiations.
This season, Maza has registered five goals and six assists in 38 competitive appearances across all competitions, underlining his growing influence in Xabi Alonso’s side.
As interest builds, Maza’s continued development will be closely watched, with his name increasingly featuring among Europe’s most exciting young prospects.
