Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush is attracting increasing attention in the transfer market, with Turkish giants Fenerbahçe stepping up their search for a new attacking option ahead of the window’s closure.
According to reports, Pep Guardiola will not stand in the way of the Egyptian forward should any club agree a deal with Manchester City for his services.
Fenerbahçe are eager to complete a signing in attack, particularly with Youssef En Nesyri edging closer to a loan away from the club.
As a result, focus has shifted to Marmoush, with Turkish outlet Sabah claiming that City manager Pep Guardiola has approved a potential departure.
The recent arrival of Antoine Semenyo at the Etihad Stadium has further raised questions over Marmoush’s role in the squad.
Reports suggest Fenerbahçe are willing to table an offer in the region of 30 million euros, although negotiations are still ongoing. The situation is being closely watched elsewhere, with FC Bayern also monitoring developments surrounding the Egyptian forward.
Despite strong interest from Turkey, Marmoush is believed to favour staying in the Premier League. Aston Villa and Tottenham have both been mentioned as possible loan destinations, while Galatasaray are also said to have made contact through intermediaries.
The 26-year-old, who is under contract with Manchester City until 2029, has been limited to only a handful of starts this season due to injury setbacks and his involvement at the Africa Cup of Nations.
