Vincent Kompany has put an end to the speculation about a possible move to FC Barcelona. The Belgian defender, who has Congolese roots, made it clear at a press conference that he has no intention of leaving Manchester City anytime soon.
When asked about rumors of contact with the Catalan club, Kompany responded firmly:
“There have been contacts, but recently, there has been nothing official. I can assure you that I have a contract with Manchester City and that I am very happy here. We won the Premier League and we are offering a serious and attractive project.”
Kompany, who is under contract until 2018, emphasized his commitment to the Citizens and his satisfaction with the club’s ambitions.
