Romano revealed that discussions have progressed positively, signalling that the move is edging closer to completion.
“Antoine Semenyo and Manchester City, deal almost done with final steps to follow soon.
“Man City and Bournemouth has positive call today to proceed in talks while the player’s prepared to join #MCFC. Here we go, soon,” Romano said in a post on X.

The development aligns with an earlier report by Africasoccer, which stated that Semenyo had opted to join Manchester City despite attracting interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old Black Stars forward has been on the radar of several English Premier League clubs since last year, following a series of impressive performances. After an outstanding campaign with Bournemouth last season, Semenyo has maintained his strong form in the current campaign.
So far this season, the Ghanaian attacker has scored nine goals and registered three assists in 17 appearances in the English top flight.
Reports suggest Bournemouth’s clash against Chelsea on Wednesday night could potentially be his final appearance for the Cherries as he edges closer to a move to the Etihad Stadium.
