Since his move from Swansea to Manchester City, Wilfried Bony has struggled for regular first-team action. The Ivorian striker has made 16 Premier League appearances this season but has scored just four goals.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Bony admitted his frustration with limited opportunities. “Everyone wants to play, you ask all the players on the bench, they want to play, none of them want to sit on the bench,” he said.
The former Swansea forward, who enjoyed a prolific spell in the Premier League before joining City, faces stiff competition for a starting place, particularly from Sergio Agüero. Bony’s comments highlight the challenge he faces in trying to establish himself under manager Manuel Pellegrini.
With City aiming for both domestic and European success, the striker will be hoping to regain his form and secure more playing time in the second half of the season.
