Bacary Sagna Explains Move from Arsenal to Manchester City
After spending seven years at Arsenal, Bacary Sagna made the switch to Manchester City on June 13. The former Auxerre defender spoke candidly about his decision to leave the Gunners and join the Citizens.
“I needed a change. I’d been at Arsenal for seven years, had some good times, but I wanted to start something new and work hard again,” Sagna explained. “I think I chose the best club in England, and even in Europe.”
Reflecting on his early days at Manchester City, Sagna added: “I’ve already played with some of the club’s players before, which will help me adapt. But everyone here is nice. I can’t wait to start the season.”
