Manchester United step up Yan Diomande scouting ahead of summer window
Manchester United scouts attended RB Leipzig’s recent clash with Augsburg to closely watch exciting young left winger Yan Diomande, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 19-year-old scored in the 2–1 win, further underlining why he has become one of the most talked-about wide talents in the Bundesliga.
Romano reports that Diomande has been on United’s radar for the past six months as the club prepares to strengthen the left flank in the upcoming transfer window.
However, he stressed that the Ivorian is “not the only one” under consideration, with several alternatives also being monitored as part of a broader recruitment plan. Top European sides, including PSG and clubs from Spain, are also following his progress, which could make any future pursuit highly competitive.
Manchester United’s presence in the stands is seen as a sign of genuine interest rather than a mere routine check, even if it does not guarantee a transfer.
The club is expected to assess multiple winger targets, alongside reinforcements in midfield and other areas, as they plan a busy and important summer rebuild.
