YAYA TOURÉ TO STAY AT MANCHESTER CITY, SAYS AGENT
Despite persistent rumors linking him with a move to Inter Milan, Yaya Touré will remain at Manchester City. The Ivorian captain, under contract until 2017, has received firm backing from the club’s owner, Sheikh Mansour.
“Yaya won’t leave because Sheikh Mansour told him he should stay,” his agent Dimitri Seluk told The Daily Mirror. “He said Yaya is still an important player and the first big signing after the club’s takeover. He told him City wouldn’t even discuss a transfer.”
At 32, Touré continues to be a key figure at the club and looks set to play a prominent role in City’s future plans.
