Former Mamelodi Sundowns forward Dino Ndlovu has predicted his firmer outfit will rule the South African Premiership for the next six-seven years.
Sundowns emerged as champions in the recently concluded campaign, marking their eight consecutive success in the top-flight.
Reflecting on the championship favourites for the upcoming years, the former South African international affirmed Sundowns will reign the top-flight in the six-seven years considering the investment made over the years.
“In terms of league standards, I am absolutely convinced the championship will be a one-horse race for the next six or seven years, until teams realize that to attract good players, they need to invest—they need to pay players and invest in their own. You cannot neglect your own and expect good results.”
“But football-wise, it’s exciting. I’ve seen that we have some talented young prospects, and that inspired me to come back and share my experience with them.” He told Soccer Laduma.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns have exited the FIFA Club World Cup tournament after finishing third in Group F.
