Zamalek are reportedly keen on appointing Mamelodi Sundowns gaffer Miguel Cardoso as their new head coach heading into the new campaign.
The Egyptian giants are currently without a substantive head coach following the departure of Jose Peseiro mid-way through the season and are currently searching for a new head coach for the upcoming season.
According to reports, Cardoso, who is the head coach of Sundowns has emerged as the main candidate for the Zamalek coaching job.
Zamalek is currently reviewing the CVs of several coaches, with the shortlist now down to just three candidates, with Cardoso reportedly leading the race.
AfricaSoccer.com has learnt that the decision on the new head coach is almost finalized, with Zamalek expected to unveil their new coach next Monday.
Miguel Cardoso took the reins of the South African powerhouse in December 2024, quickly clinched the national championship, and also led the team to the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.
