Khuliso Mudau remain sidelined

Mamelodi Sundowns team doctor Carl Tabane has confirmed that Khuliso Mudau remains sidelined as the defender continues his recovery from a lengthy injury lay-off.

Mudau has been out of action for an extended period and is still not ready to return to the starting line-up, with the club taking a cautious approach to his recovery.

The absence of the experienced defender leaves Sundowns without one of their important options, as they prepare for another Betway Premiership fixture.

Tabane also revealed that Mudau is not the only player currently working his way back to full fitness at the club.

Keanu Cupido, Tsiki Nsabeleng and Arthur Sales are also recovering from their respective setbacks and are gradually working towards a return to full training and competitive action.

Sundowns will be hoping to have the quartet back available as soon as possible, particularly with the club facing a demanding schedule across domestic and continental competitions.

For now, however, Mudau remains unavailable, with the defender continuing his rehabilitation away from first-team action.

Sundowns return to Betway Premiership action this evening when they host Milford FC at Loftus Versfeld.

The Brazilians will be looking to secure a positive result despite the continued absence of several players, while the club’s medical team will continue to monitor the progress of those sidelined.

Mudau’s eventual return will provide a major boost to Sundowns, but the defender will have to complete his recovery and regain full match fitness before he can reclaim his place in the starting line-up.
