South Africa giants Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that they have parted ways with attacking midfielder Lebohang Maboe.
The club in an official post on social media on Sunday, July 6 bid farewell to the experienced player and thanked him for his service in the past seven years.
Lebohang Maboe, 30, is leaving Mamelodi Sundowns after winning 12 trophies with the Yellow Nation.
“After 7 memorable years, 12 trophies, 183 appearances and that unforgettable league winning hattrick – the Yellow Nation bids farewell to Lebohang Maboe.
“Masandawana wishes you nothing but success as you enter your next chapter,” Mamelodi Sundowns announced in a post on X.
Mamelodi Sundowns are fresh off participating in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The club is currently restructuring their squad ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
According to sources, the club will be parting ways with some other players with a plan to recruit new talents to bolster their squad for next season.
