Mamelodi Sundowns are not done in the current summer transfer window, expressing keen interest in Ukraine international Oleksiy Hutsulyak.
The Brazilians are prepared to table an amount of €1million for the acquisition of the highly-rated attacker before the closer of the window.
The 27-year-old forward, who is in the books of Polissya Zhytomyr has emerged as one of the most sought-after players, having exhibited top performance in recent times.
Besides Sundowns, Hutsulyak has popped up on the radar of Serie A clubs, Sassuolo and Udinese Calcio, who are also keen on signing the attacker.
Sundowns, who made several high-profile signings are bent on adding the Ukrainian star to their ranks as the club seeks to battle for laurels in the 2025/26 football campaign.
The South African giants will have to beat off competition from the Italian clubs to secure the signature of the highly-rated forward.
Last year, Hutsulyak made his debut for the Ukraine national team, featuring in nine matches and scoring twice. At club level this season, Hutsulyak has played three matches in the Ukrainian Premier League and six more in the Conference League qualifiers, where he recorded his only goal involvement so far – a goal and an assist.
In European competition, the “Wolves” saw their campaign end in the play-off round, losing to Fiorentina with an aggregate score of 2-6.
The winger’s contract with Polissya runs until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
