MAMADOU SAKHO: IN LINE WITH DESCHAMPS’ CHOICES FOR THE WORLD CUP
Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho, unlike Samir Nasri, has earned a spot in the roster selected by Didier Deschamps for the upcoming World Cup. During a training session, Sakho expressed his thoughts on being chosen by the Blues coach in an interview with BFM TV.
Reflecting on his inclusion in the final list of 23 players, the Liverpool defender shared his perspective, echoing complete alignment with Deschamps’ decisions.
“Until the list was announced, there’s always that uncertainty in football. I’m content with the team selection. If the coach believes this squad offers the best chance for success at the World Cup, I fully respect his choices,” Sakho stated.
