Mamadou Gning linked with Aris Saloniki exit to Anagennisi Karditsa

Senegalese midfielder Mamadou Gning is being linked with a move from Aris Saloniki to Anagennisi Karditsa.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is currently under contract with Aris until 30 June 2029, but has emerged as a potential target for the Super League 2 club. Gning has not made an appearance for Aris in the 2026-27 Greek Cup, in which the club has played one possible game.

Gning joined Aris from Senegalese side Esperance Sportive de Guediawaye in January 2025 in a transfer valued at €2m. His current market value is listed at €100,000.

The Saly Portudal-born player previously represented Senegal at under-20 level and was part of the team that won the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023.

Gning has made his senior club career in Greece since moving to Aris, who compete in the Greek top flight. A switch to Anagennisi Karditsa would represent a move to the country’s second tier, although the rumour does not indicate whether the proposed deal would be permanent or temporary.

For now, Gning remains an Aris player with three years left on his contract.
