Mamadou Diallo has emerged as a surprise target for Bundesliga side Heidenheim, with the CSKA 1948 centre-forward reportedly the subject of a move rated at a 51% probability.
The 29-year-old, who represents Mauritania and also holds French nationality, is currently on the books of Bulgarian top-flight club CSKA 1948 but is being linked with a switch to Germany’s top tier, according to data from Transfermarkt. With his current market value listed at €900k, any deal is expected to be relatively modest by Bundesliga standards, inviting speculation that Heidenheim may view him as a cost-effective option to deepen their attacking options.
Diallo, born on 3 December 1996 in Nouakchott and standing at 1.91m, operates primarily as a centre-forward and prefers his right foot. His profile suggests a physically imposing striker who could complement Heidenheim’s existing forwards in a league noted for its intensity and aerial duels.
The forward only joined CSKA 1948 from French side LB Châteauroux ahead of the 2025/26 season, following earlier spells at US Boulogne and FC Chambly Oise in France, and VfB Eichstätt and MTV Ingolstadt in Germany. That previous experience in German football, albeit outside the top flight, may be viewed favourably by Heidenheim as they assess his suitability for a potential move.
Diallo’s rise in valuation at CSKA 1948 has been notable, climbing from €300k in September 2025 to €900k by December the same year, reflecting improved form in the Bulgarian efbet Liga. While no contract details or end date are publicly specified, the absence of clear long-term information has fuelled suggestions that CSKA 1948 could be open to negotiation to avoid risking a future free departure.
If the transfer materialises, a move to Heidenheim and the Bundesliga would represent the biggest stage of Diallo’s career to date, offering a platform to enhance his reputation and test his potential at the highest level of German football.
