Mamadou Danfa has completed a move to Teungueth FC from French side FC Balagne on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs from 2026-02-04 to 2026-06-30. The Senegalese right winger returns to his home country to join the Ligue 1 club after a short spell in the French fifth tier, ending his time in National 3 – Group E for a step back into top-flight football.
The transfer is officially listed as a free move, with no fee paid by Teungueth FC to FC Balagne. No current market value is recorded for Danfa at the time of the switch, underlining that Teungueth have secured the 24-year-old without a defined transfer valuation attached. The deal adds an experienced wide attacker to the club’s options on the flanks, with Danfa primarily operating as a right winger and preferring his right foot.
Danfa joins Teungueth FC having accumulated a varied career across several leagues. Before FC Balagne, he played for Lincoln Red Imps FC in Gibraltar, following a period without a club. Prior to that, he featured for FC Ballkani in Kosovo’s top flight and FC Shkupi in North Macedonia, after leaving Ukrainian side Kolos Kovalivka. His early professional steps came in Senegal with Casa Sports, graduating from Casa Sports U20 to the senior team, giving him prior familiarity with domestic competition before this return.
Over the years, his market value has fluctuated significantly. Early in his career at Casa Sports, he held a valuation of €50,000, which climbed steadily at Kolos Kovalivka to a peak of €300,000. Subsequent moves saw that figure decrease through his time at FC Shkupi and FC Ballkani, eventually dropping further during periods without a club and then at Lincoln Red Imps. By the time he joined FC Balagne, the recorded market value had fallen to zero, a trajectory that helps explain why Teungueth FC were able to secure him without a transfer fee.
Born in Ziguinchor and standing 1.90 m tall, Danfa brings a physical profile uncommon for a wide player, combining height with attacking experience gained in multiple European environments. His path has taken him from Senegal to Ukraine, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Gibraltar and France, giving Teungueth FC a player accustomed to adapting to different tactical systems and competitive demands.
For Teungueth FC, the signing represents a low-risk opportunity to add depth and international experience to their attacking line in Ligue 1. For Danfa, it is a chance to re-establish himself in his home country’s top division after several years abroad, and to rebuild his reputation following a period in lower-profile leagues and clubs. The length of the contract offers both player and club a defined window to assess his impact and future role, with his performance at Teungueth likely to determine whether he can once again approach the market valuations he achieved earlier in his career.
