Sint-Truiden Boosts Squad with Ivorian Duo Angban and Bagayoko
Promoted to the Belgian Jupiler Pro League, Sint-Truiden is making strategic moves in the transfer market as it prepares for life in the top flight. The club has announced the arrival of two Ivorian players to strengthen its squad.
The first signing is Victorien Bekanty Angban, an 18-year-old midfielder on loan from Chelsea. Highly regarded for his composure and technical ability, Angban will gain valuable first-team experience in Belgium after joining the English giants earlier.
Joining him is fellow Ivorian Mamadou Bagayoko, a 25-year-old full-back who arrives as a free agent after parting ways with Slovan Bratislava. Bagayoko has signed a one-year deal, with an option to extend for an additional season. His versatility and experience in European football are expected to bring solidity to Sint-Truiden’s defense.
With these additions, the Belgian newcomers aim to build a competitive squad capable of securing their place in the top division and making an impression in their return season.
