Malik Opoola switches to Bisceglie after Nocerina spell

Nigeria winger Malik Opoola has joined Bisceglie from Nocerina on a free transfer, strengthening the Serie D club’s attacking options. The 21-year-old right winger has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027.

Opoola completed the move on 4 August, ending his time with Nocerina after one season. He joined the club from Carrarese without a fee in July 2025 and now remains in Italy’s fourth tier with Bisceglie, who compete in Serie D – H.

The forward has built up extensive experience in Serie D, making 76 appearances in the competition and scoring 20 goals, while also registering five assists. His record includes 45 appearances and 13 goals in Serie D – H, alongside 28 matches and seven goals in Serie D – G.

Opoola also featured in Serie C earlier in his career, making 11 appearances and scoring once. He has additionally played in the Coppa Serie D, where he has two goals and one assist in eight matches, and scored three times in five appearances in the Viareggio Cup.

His move to Bisceglie continues a career that has included spells with Carrarese, Casarano and Brindisi. Opoola joined Brindisi from Valle Giovanili in August 2022 and later moved to Carrarese on a free transfer in August 2023. During the 2023-24 season, he spent time on loan at Brindisi before returning to Carrarese, and had another loan spell with Casarano in 2024-25.

Bisceglie have secured the services of a Nigerian attacker whose senior career has been largely built in the lower divisions of Italian football. Opoola’s current market value is listed at €100,000, while his highest recorded value has been €150,000.

The completed free transfer keeps Opoola in Serie D and commits him to Bisceglie through the end of June 2027.
