Malian striker El Bilal Touré secures loan move to Beşiktaş from Atalanta

Beşiktaş JK have completed the signing of Malian forward El Bilal Touré on loan from Atalanta Bergamo, with the Turkish club confirming the deal includes a conditional option to buy.

The Istanbul giants announced the agreement on Monday, 26 August 2025, after finalising negotiations with both the 22-year-old striker and his parent club.

“An agreement has been reached with professional footballer El Bilal Touré regarding his temporary transfer. According to this agreement, our club has a conditional purchase option,” read the official club statement.

Touré’s arrival represents Beşiktaş’s latest step in bolstering their attacking department, which has struggled for consistency in front of goal during the opening weeks of the Süper Lig season.

The Malian international is expected to inject pace, power and finishing ability into the side as they aim to challenge domestically and in European competition.

A career of early promise

Born in 2001, El Bilal Touré rose to prominence in France with Stade de Reims, where his energy and goal-scoring instinct quickly caught the eye.

His performances earned him a move to Almería in Spain’s La Liga, where he continued to develop into one of Africa’s most highly rated young forwards.

In the summer of 2023, Atalanta Bergamo secured his services, viewing him as a long-term prospect for Serie A. However, his momentum was disrupted by a serious injury shortly after his arrival in Italy, limiting his impact during his debut season.

Despite these setbacks, Touré has maintained a reputation as a striker with immense potential, capable of becoming a leading figure for both club and country.

A new chapter in Turkey

The loan move to Beşiktaş offers Touré the opportunity to rebuild his form and fitness in an environment where he is likely to feature regularly.

The Süper Lig is known for its demanding atmosphere and passionate supporters, and Beşiktaş will hope that Touré can thrive under such conditions.

At 22, the forward has time on his side, and the Turkish club’s faith in negotiating a conditional purchase clause suggests they see him as more than a short-term solution.

If he adapts quickly, Touré could provide the cutting edge that Beşiktaş have been searching for, particularly in tight domestic fixtures and on the European stage.

International pedigree

Touré has already established himself as an important figure for the Mali national team, where his strength, aerial presence and ability to link play have made him a reliable option in attack.

His international experience further enhances the value he brings to Beşiktaş, who will rely on his maturity despite his young age.

Pressure and opportunity

For Beşiktaş, the loan signing underlines their determination to address their early-season shortcomings. For Touré, it represents a crucial moment in his career: a chance to prove that injuries have not stalled his development and that he can fulfil the promise that once made him one of the most sought-after young strikers in Europe.

The Turkish giants, eager to restore their dominance in domestic football and make an impact in Europe, will be counting on Touré to deliver.

Should he rise to the challenge, the conditional purchase option could see him become a permanent figure in Istanbul, marking the start of a long-term relationship between player and club.

At just 22, El Bilal Touré embarks on this loan spell in Turkey with much still to prove—but equally with the opportunity to define his career trajectory in the years ahead.
