Rising midfield talent Abdoulaye Kanté is reportedly on the radar of AS Saint-Étienne as the club looks to strengthen its squad amidst a challenging Ligue 1 campaign.
Currently sitting in the relegation zone, the Greens seek reinforcements to secure survival this season.
Kanté, a 21-year-old Ivorian defensive midfielder, has impressed this season with Troyes in Ligue 2. Having featured in 13 of 15 league matches and registered an assist, the former Montfermeil youth player has showcased his versatility and work rate in the heart of midfield.
AS Saint-Étienne is reportedly negotiating a loan deal with an option to buy, a move that could provide much-needed stability following the departures of key players like Thomas Monconduit and Aïmen Moueffek. If the transfer materializes, Kanté will join Saint-Étienne for the remainder of the season.
