Malian midfielder Yves Bissouma to remain at Tottenham until winter transfer window

Mali international midfielder Yves Bissouma could be suspended from Tottenham Hotspur’s first team after breaking the club rules.

Bissouma filmed himself inhaling laughing gas from a balloon. He now faces a sanction from the Premier League outfit. Just a year ago, he faced serious trouble for a similar video.

However, the Malian international has been placed under review by the club’s hierarchy after the footage surfaced online. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old midfielder has removed all references to the London club from his social media accounts.

Last year, after a similar incident, Bissouma was suspended from the squad until he apologised to the fans and the club.

The midfielder, who also captains Mali’s national team, is now facing the prospect of even more severe disciplinary action.

Using nitrous oxide can result in brain disorders, depression, memory loss, incontinence, hallucinations, and nerve damage.

Bissouma joined Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2022, with his current contract expiring in the summer of 2026.
