Mali international Lassine Sinayoko is pushing for a move away from AJ Auxerre in the current summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old has emerged as a top transfer target for fellow French Ligue 1 outfit, RC Lens, who keen on capturing his services before the window is shut.

Sinayoko, who has entered the final year of his contract with the Burgundy club, wants to join Lens and has reportedly already agreed a four-year contract to become their new number nine.

However, Auxerre appears not to be interested in sanctioning the move for the forward in the current window, forcing the Mali international to boycott training.

Having reach an agreement with Auxerre for a €8m move plus bonuses, the forward was expected to seal the move at the weekend.

However, Auxerre opted not to grant the attacker permission to travel to complete his medical ahead of the move.

Auxerre are keen to keep hold of the striker for the 2025/26 campaign. With confusion mounting, Stade Rennais are reportedly looking at stealing in.

Sinayoko has made 20 appearances for the Mali national team, scoring 6 goals since marking his debut in 2021.
