Mali international Ibrahim Sissoko has parted ways with French outfit Saint-Étienne, bringing an end to his two-year spell at the club.
Sissoko leaves Saint-Étienne following an impressive spell that saw him play a key role in Les Verts’ return to Ligue 1.
Signed from Sochaux in the summer of 2023, the Ivorian striker quickly became a pivotal figure for Les Verts in their Ligue 2 campaign which saw them return to Ligue 1.
Sissoko scored 13 goals during his debut season, including a vital strike against Metz in the first leg of the Ligue 1 promotion/relegation play-off to help the club seal its return to the top flight.
This season, he had only managed three goals and one assist as he played second fiddle to the return of Irvin Cardona and the rise of Lucas Stassin.
Despite having a running contract with Saint Etienne, the attacker has parted ways with the club as he heads to Bundesliga 2 club Bochum.
He is expected to play a huge role for the club as they seek to bounce back to the Bundesliga next campaign.
