Djoliba AC head coach Boudo Mory will leave the Malian club after Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup match against San Pedro, the club has confirmed.
The Ivorian manager announced the end of his tenure during a press conference on Saturday, with his final game in charge scheduled for the last group-stage fixture of the competition.
Djoliba AC face San Pedro FC later on 15 February, bringing to a close a difficult continental campaign and the coach’s short spell at the club.
Mory’s departure follows a run of disappointing results in Africa’s secondary club competition.
After five group matches, Djoliba had not recorded a single victory.
The side lost four matches and managed only one point — a 0-0 draw against USM Alger on matchday four.
Those results left Mali’s most decorated club struggling throughout the group phase and ultimately prompted the decision to part ways.
The coach confirmed his exit publicly a day before the final fixture, signalling the end of a tenure that lasted less than a year.
He had only taken charge in June 2025 after leaving Yamoussoukro FC.
Sunday’s encounter therefore marks both Djoliba’s final match of the current Confederation Cup campaign and Mory’s farewell on the bench.
The game carries little competitive consequence for qualification but concludes a turbulent period for the Bamako side in continental competition.
The club will now turn its attention to the future following the match, while the departing coach prepares to step away after overseeing his last ninety minutes in charge.
