Egyptian giants and Africa’s most decorated club Al Ahly are gearing up for the impending FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
The expanded 32-team tournament scheduled to take place at the United State of America runs from June 15 to July 13, 2025.
Ahead of the tournament, the record Champions League holders has bolstered their squad with the signing of Tunisian midfield dynamo Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Egyptian international winger Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet and midfield anchor Hamdi Fathi.
Also making headlines is the inclusion of Ahmed Sayed “Zizo”, whose summer move from rivals Zamalek has sent shockwaves across Egyptian football.
Al Ahly have been paired in Group A against Inter Miami (USA), Palmeiras (Brazil) and FC Porto (Portugal)
Al Ahly is not just aiming for a deep run, but for continental pride and a shot at becoming the first African team to lift the new-format Club World Cup trophy.
